Nativity blog post

During the week my class had a nativity play. To learn more stuff about the nativity we read books and watched short films. Learning was easy. My class wrote the script which wasn’t the easiest part since I was scene 7 after. I wrote my seen but I also I had to talk to scene 6 and 8  see if every thing was right. For the auditions I felt a bit worried but after i felt great. I also switched roles because my classmate was annoyed that he didn’t get to pick his role so I switched. I was a wise man but I changed to king Herod and Augustus Caesar’s advisor. My friend Christian was also and advisor. In my rehearsals I felt a bit nervous I wouldn’t get the words right. But I soon felt comfortable. My class performed to year 3 and a nursing home. I learnt that Joseph would have family in Bethlehem so Jesus actually would of probably been born with his family. For the up coming year 4 students you need to be courageous if you don’t get the role you wanted. Be happy but not silly.

If you have done the nativity do you have any advice for people who are going to do the nativity?

My first term of year 5

Year 5 so far has been great. Some of my highlights have been APS. I’ve loved rock climbing the most. It’s fun going high. It makes you feel like flying. I have so many new friends and I’ve loved making new connections with the new people. I’ve learnt that making new friendships makes you happier and others around you

My best book chat yet!

I love sport books because it makes me feel like playing sport. Especially when it’s a nail biting game. I also like humour. I always get a laugh. One of my favourite others is David Walliams

My favourite Book Chat book is crossover. It’s about these two twins who love basketball just like there dad. There is love and sadness especially at the end. I love basketball  books because they make me want to play the game.

Amal Unbound Chapter 28

Hello year four,

I think Amal showed bravery by standing up to the guards and telling them what is right in Jawad Sahib’s home. I think she would have felt worried and afraid because they would have had guns and they would have been very strong and powerful.

I think her bravery was amazing because she talked to the police like they are normal people. I think Jawad Sahib will not say thank you but not be as stern as he normally is.

One question I had was what would happen if Jawad Sahib didn’t end up at the door at that time?

Science Report

Question:

Does he strength of the paper depend on its size?

Aim- what are you trying to find out:

We want to find out is the strength of the paper depends on its size?

What are going to change in your experiment?:

The size of the paper.

What are you going to measure or observe?:

The amount it can hold.

Hypothesis:

We think that A5 will be the weakest because it’s the smallest.

Materials:

Paper A3, A4 A5 and tape.

Method:

  1. Stick the A3 to the table.
  2. Place weights in the centre of the paper.
  3. Keep on placing weights until it breaks.
  4. Repeat those steps for A4 and A5 paper.

Results:

Conclusion:

Out of our 3 hypothesis 1 was correct. It was the A4 paper with the answer of 4Kg. If we did the experiment again, we would use stronger tape and we would  3 layers of tape.

*Grace accidentally dropped the weight on the paper*

Reflection:

The highlights of our experiment were we liked when the weights dropped on the paper because it was fascinating and interesting. We also liked when we were placing the weights on the papers because, it was existing to watch how much weights the different papers could hold. The last highlight was meet the scientist because it was fun to tell people what our experiment was about.

The challenges were to get the layers of tape correct because, it was confusing to get the right amount of layers on each paper and we didn’t want the tape to effect the experiment. The other challenge was to think about what we were going to change in the experiment because it was confusing on what we were going to change. To solve the challenge with the tape we, we decided to put three layers of tape on each paper. To solve the challenge of what we are going to change in the experiment we got help from our teacher and we compromised about the answer.

The things that we learned from the experiment were, paper strength does not always relate to its size. We also learned on how to conduct a fair test by putting on the same tape layers on Each paper. The last thing we learned was to write a scientific report.

Life Ed Reflection

On the 6th of August my class went to Life Ed. The topic was on cyber safety. The first activity was us trying to sell a device. The group that l was in had a T.V. We learnt that when someone is walking past your shop you need to know what to say. We watched a video that showed a girl friend someone on Facebook she didn’t know. They sent a message said what’s your favourite food? She said chocolate. He said what place do you go to. She showed her mum and blocked him immediately. We also watched a video about a boy named jack who a person on his soccer got a video of him falling over. Jack thought it was funny till he sore the comments. He was frustrated he rang up his friend and told him to take it down he did. But others already downloaded it. Now he is worried.

Children should not go to bed whenever they want

I have this friend of mine called Tim. He only gets out of bed when he is going to someone’s house or to play video games. He goes to bed whenever and he wakes up at 10:00 am. He falls asleep nearly every day ing class. Would you want this to happen to your beloved child?

They need sleep so they are not tired at school like Tim. It will effect their learning. The child will do barely any sport and they might be too tired to do it for school even. I would be unhappy if my child didn’t play sport, wouldn’t you?

Imagine a child who can’t be bothered to do anything that would be a massive disaster. They wouldn’t even listen the would be to cranky. It’s certain that scientists have shown that playing video games before bed has an impact on how you sleep. This is terrible you should reduce the amount. What about Tim. Poor kid.

It’s certain that you should never ever let your child go tot bed whenever they want. It is disgraceful how many parents do it. You should be on my side and be the right guy.

Scenice incursion Reflection

Today my class went to the senior school. We event to the science lab. We had to wear a lab coat and safety goggles. It was really awesome. We did an electricity test to see if sorts of materials could make a light bulb light up. We learnt why bells are made of metal. They were made of metal so they wouldn’t break. We heard the Big Ben. Our teacher was Mrs O’Connor. I loved it!
